Air America Files for Bankruptcy
Before I was so rudely interrupted by their denial of this last month...
Again, this is going to be an opportunity for Air America Radio's shows to be taken over by an actual broadcasting company - even Clear Channel. I know, I know - Clear Channel is evil, etc. etc. etc. But CC has indeed been instrumental in broadcasting Air America's voice to so many markets where it was initially silenced. Los Angeles comes to mind.
If that happens, the shows will be individually offered to stations rather than the stations having to hook up to Air America's often-unsteady 19/7 full schedule. Each show will live or die by its own merit instead of letting AAR's marginal shows take the entire network down (as we're seeing now).
It's an opportunity, not just for Air America's programs, but for some broadcast corporation who has the guts to actually offer programming that 70% of America agrees with.
How crazy is that? Clear Channel? Westwood One? What do ya say? Hell, ABC could use a little help right now. Go for it.

Appreciate your insight.

As much as I don't like Clear Channel, their combination of AA programs and other liberal material like Stephanie Miller and Ed Schultz seems to be viable, and we at least get something here in Madison (Hail Satan!)
