Iranians Allegedly Killed Five US Troops?

MSNBC is reporting that Iranian forces gunned down five American troops in Iraq. That's what "intel" is saying.

Really? Pardon my cynicism. There is absolutely no reason for us to NOT believe that this is all a giant setup to start a war with Iran. Every ounce of "evidence" this White House has made every step of the way when it comes to military action in the Middle East was trumped up. Fake. Phoney. Failed to exist.

So this latest "outrage" rings utterly hollow. And unless they suddenly get the urge to use diplomacy instead of military force in Iran, we call bullshit. Complete bullshit.

And sending more US troops in to egg on Iranians smacks of all the attempts to goad Saddam Hussein into a war. If America has a brain left, we'll all call for complete and total hand-tying on these war mongers if they even LOOK at Iran funny.

All indications are we'll be involved in the middle east forever. bush/cheney et al have a long term plan for oil that will outlive us all. I'm convinced the mess they created in Iraq is, to them, the price of doing business. If the war had gone as planned by rumsfeld, they would have chosen the next country to invade, and on and on. Either way we will never leave the area and will forever have Iraq as our foothold there.

No president will be able to get us out unless congress does so immediately. We can't worry about what will happen when we leave because the worst will happen whenever we pull out.

The Iranians retailiate by launching missile strikes on the oilfields in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, and launching anti ship missiles on any oil tankers they can hit. Suddenly a significant percentage of the world oil supply is offline indefinitely. Gasoline prices SOAR! (EXXON says YEAH!!) The energy supply disruption throws the world financial markets into chaos, most likely precipitating a severe global recession or depression. The Muslim world becomes totally infuriated by the use of nuclear weapons. Extremists in Pakistan overthrow Mushariff, and suddenly the extremists have in their posession nuclear capability. Pakistan's neighbors, India and China, go on high alert, increasing global tension even further. Israel, afraid of this new Pakastani threat, launches attacks against Pakistan. India launches against Pakistan and launches a limited first strike against possible aggression by the Chinese. The Chinese retaliate, and possibly launch a preemptive strike against Russia and the US. Then its pretty much the end of the world. So do we really need to attack Iran?
