Rich Outs Bush's Grandpa
In case anyone didn't already know it - they do now! The MSM is starting to realize there's gold (and honesty) in demolishing the myths of the GOP, and Frank Rich has always led the charge.
Just 36 hours after the Mississippi debacle, Mr. McCain tried to distance himself from the administration by flip-flopping on his signature issue, Iraq, suddenly endorsing just the kind of timetable for withdrawal he has characterized as “surrender” when proposed by Democrats or Mitt Romney. (When Mr. McCain proposes it, he labels it “victory.”) But hardly had Mr. McCain spoken than his message was upstaged by Mr. Bush’s partisan political speech in Israel. The president implied that Mr. Obama would have enabled the Nazis even more foolishly than his own grandfather, Prescott Bush, did in the 1930s when he maintained “investment relationships with Hitler’s Germany,” as Kevin Phillips delicately describes it in “American Dynasty.”

But Obama rhymes with Osama!

When W's presidency was in its 9/11-fueled prime, the media moguls caught the Limbaugh-wannabe wave and pushed it for all the ratings it was worth. (Bush's promises to allow unlimited corporate mergers and illegalities for his friends, mixed with politically-motivated law enforcement against anyone failing to toe the loyal bushie line, was also a powerful motivator.)
Then along came Keith Olberman, who kept getting bigger and bigger ratings for speaking truth to power rather than sucking up to it. Now that the handwriting is on the walls, I expect we'll see more "inconvenient truths" aired (except, of course, anything that embarrasses Rupert Murdock and his buddies.)

It'd be nice to see this nugget of Rich's commentary getting a wider airing on the talking head circuit.

The American Dynasty article was written in 2004. It's about time the darn thing is getting some play. Prescott Bush's dealings with the Nazi's is what gave traction to the Bush fortune.
