"Tar Baby"

It's just coming fast and furiously today, isn't it?
We're betting the house that Rep. Tom Davis (R-Va) will come up with some lame rationale for saying what he said ("It was a LITERARY passage! It wasn't racist! And I apologize if my words blah blah blah.").
The fact is he said it in a memo about Obama, and it taps into the fiber of every racist tendency in his state and the nation.
The memo was about Republican electoral problems this year. It garishly points out a big one in its very existence.
Nazis. Tar babies. Anyone one else from the GOP want to step up to the plate?

lemme tell ya...
after watchng Biden and Pelosi and Kerry respond to the "nazi sympathizer" bit,
I'm ready for more! Democrats!! standing up!!! saying "knock it off!"
wow! I think a monkey just flew out of my butt!

He refers to the issue not the man as being the "tar baby" (sticky wicket)...found that Mitt Romney had to apologize back in 2006 for calling the tunnel project in Boston a tar baby (same meaning), saying he did not realize it was a racial epithet to many.
I'm not defending its use...just saying that perhaps he just needs to be EDUCATED on the subject.

If the term "tar baby" in ANY context is still in your vocabulary after all these years, you're officially an unenlightened twit. Period.

Besides, it says something that Repubs are the only ones still using it. Romney, Tony Snow and now Davis.
