NYT/CBS Poll: McCain Loses Bounce
The GOP has walked into the wood chipper with the bad news this week. And it's far from over.
In a sign that John McCain's convention bounce has dissipated, Barack Obama has taken a 48 percent to 43 percent lead over his Republican rival among registered voters in the latest CBS News/New York Times poll.
McCain had a two percentage point lead among registered voters in a CBS News poll released on September 8th, just after the Republican National Convention. Prior to the party conventions, Obama led McCain by 3 points.
In the new poll, the gap among likely voters is the same as it is among registered voters: Obama leads among those seen as likely to go to the polls in November 49 percent to 44 percent.

The really sad thing is that this giant bailout is only going to cost about 1 year of Iraq War funding. The very scary thing is that we've burned through all that money on Iraq, which means the government has no reserves - again, like Bush's "surge" strategy.
Spin? Meet Reality. Oh, and Reality's last name is "Sucks."

I agree.
Even with 'McCain doesn't get it" and "Palin is a total loser" , I think the mere mention of continued war or expanded war will be the last nail.
And our asshat-in-chief has been a nightmare. I don't watch or listen to him EVER but I'm disgusted that he has made no effort to hold a press conference, like Matthews suggested.
My saying for him is " While home burns, zero fiddles".
Got to share this...
I live in OC and I'm starting to see more OBAMA yardsigns and bumper stickers. One said "Republicans for Obama"! Whatever it is, it really is different this time. I can feel it!!

Bush and his minions are just living up to their promise of crippling the federal government for the next administration who they assume will be democratic.
